Merry Xmas Digital Card Design

I was doing some digital illustration today and wanted to use the little holly wreath I drew, so created a quick digital card design using the Digital-Ink Co Challenge sketch.  I drew all the elements and just quickly put coordinating red and green colors together for this layout.

Also, feel free to download the holly leaf pattern paper for your personal use, I have created PDFs for the green version and also white version.  Enjoy!

Happy Xmas Digital Card Design

Here’s a quick design I created following the latest Sweet Stop sketch challenge.  It turned out smaller than I though, dunno why I worked in such a small size!  I am really into the scribble-ish line look at this point…so using it in a lot of designs!

I also made PDFs of the star background paper for you to download and use for personal projects.  There is the yellow background version or the opposite white background with yellow stars version.  Enjoy!

Gingerbread Cookie Digital Card Design

I got a note in my inbox announcing a Digi Day Cookie Exchange Party & Challenge in the SNR Card Universe Ning Group, so I had to participate with the free digital stamp they offered up.  How cute is that gingerbread cookie?  I believe it was created by Digital Delights by LoubyLoo!  Talk about talent…woohoo!  I used the image in the digital card layout below after coloring the image in Photoshop.

I really like how my cookie pattern paper turned out, so I am offering it here - download the PDF of cookie pattern paper for your personal use.  Hope you have fun!  Thanks!

Holiday Wish Digital Card Design

Hello folks!  Just wanted to say thank you to all who visit my blog and check out my designs.  If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that I started out cardmaking traditionally but switched to all digital, so that I could use my own designs and print the card when I actually would send them out.  I am a bit sad today, because I found out that a group I was part of online removed all my photos in the ning group because they were digital and not real cards.  They only want real handmade cards and photos of them.  Sigh…sort of sad.  I understand groups have their own rules and such…but it’s sad to think that somehow my digital designs are just not worthy enough.  I can make anything on the computer since it’s accessible to me, but I can’t buy everything I want from all the great scrapbooking and cardmaking stores out there.  This just sucks.

I’m definitely a bit down today, but I can’t let it stop me from doing what I want to do and enjoy the process of creating.  The latest digital tuesday challenge is themed for holiday wishes…so I decided to participate with a digital card design as always.  Thanks for stopping by and hope you like my card.

I created all the imagery used so you can also download the xmas stocking image and the PDF of the xmas tree pattern paper for your personal use!

Just a quote digital card design

The latest Digital-Ink Co challenge is to use a quote in your card.  I decided to take it a step further and only use a quote for the card as the main focial point.  Something simple to really make the quote the important focus.  Here’s my little sketch, hope you enjoy!

Smile Digital Card Design

Here’s another digital card design I created for the latest Sweet Stop sketch challenge.  The days are so cold now, I feel as if my fingers are going to fall off…so I decided to do something happy and bright in contrast.  Check it out below…

Little Monkey Get Well Soon Digital Card Design

I’m working on a plush monkey toy for a gallery show in December and currently working on the graphic design.  I decided to use my little monkey graphic for a card today, as I’m a bit baffled as to how to turn it into a pattern for sewing!  The theme I’m working off of is “no more little monkeys jumping on that bed” – so it’s perfect for a get well soon message.  My little monkey is a little too sad perhaps?  I used the color scheme presented on the latest Stamp TV color challenge as well…what do you think?

Inchies Winter Holiday Card

Following along with the latest Dare you to digi stamp sketch, I created this simple winter holiday card around the idea of inchies.  I quickly sketched up some ideas for the symbols, nothing too fancy.  I like the idea of using text rather than an image as the focal point though…I think it is classy!

Enjoy Coffee Digital Card Design

Another quick digital card design as I cozy up indoors today!  Roasting chestnuts and hot coffee inspired this card layout design and color scheme.  What do you think?  I followed along the latest Stamp TV sketch and created my own designs and motifs for this card.

I created the pattern paper, so feel free to download the PDFs below for personal use.  Enjoy!

Flower power digital card design

Another quickie as I couldn’t fall asleep…just wanted to do something with flowers, but not a super girly color scheme.  This goes along for the latest digital tuesday challenge to use flowers.  Hope you like it!
