so literal scrapbook layout

Today’s prompt immediately made me think of my silly thought as a child – don’t drink and drive – meant seriously no drinking anything while driving! It’s a funny memory about my childhood innocence, so I decided to scrap my thoughts on the subject of taking things at face value. It’s just the way I am. Some might say hopelessly clueless, but I think of it as a positive thing.

I printed my own background paper design for this page, then doodled up the title and added some stickers and things… wasn’t totally feeling into it because I’m coughing up a storm, so the design is a bit wonky… ehh…

Here’s the journaling:

As a kid I truly thought “Don’t Drink and Drive” meant you couldn’t drink liquids while driving! And even today I can be so naïve. I’m the one who quite often misses the undertones… taking it all in at face value. It might seem like a setback, to be so clueless in a world that is so complicated, full of drama and hidden meanings. But I’ve come to realize that if my authentic self is innocent and it’s a good thing to be able to see the world through that lens – at least at first. We can always dig deeper. Often we see what we want to see…literally is just the beginning…

You know, I think this is one of my favorite layouts. Something about it- the background paper, the photo, and especially that header font. I just *really* like this.
